Posted February 27, 2014 · Report post Well that's pretty much all my maps out of contention for tournament use then, except for Cortex and maybe Concealed (It's classed as a tight track, But to me it feels more like a terrain track with tight sections) Concealed must be used! Posted February 27, 2014 (edited) · Report post I feel that tight tracks could be used but only a few of them. Orions track concealed and my track Amiss were both generally liked by the people who raced them despite them being tight tracks. They can be used but we have to test them with multiple people before you consider using them. Edited February 27, 2014 by NukedIceCream

Posted February 27, 2014 · Report post The point of a season is to see who is the best racer through all weeks. Let's say you dominate the season, obviously you're viewed as the best racer. But then the championship comes around, and you may have some bad luck etc. Someone else may end up beating you (Keep in mind you won the season in a dominating fashion). That person will be seen as the ultimate season 1 winner, even though they don't deserve it. We've had this discussion a lot in the ORL. It basically came down to that we thought the actual season winner means more than just one championship race/tournament winner. It seems unfair to (possibly) receive something such as 3rd place at the end of the championship even tough you have dominated all season long. Which makes the championship a joke. A few years ago the New England Patriots had a perfect regular season and didn't lose or tie a single game. They then lost the Superbowl and were considered to be the second best team that year. That's just how these things work.

Would you consider James Stewart the best rider after he won the Monster Energy Cup? Yeah I'm pretty sure Villopoto is still the best after earning consecutive AMA SX championships. 1 person likes this
Posted February 27, 2014 · Report post Child's Play, Cavern Cross; You left a couple out. Child's Play SX has the cross over section, and you can't go back to the old version because the double jump where the cross over section is now doesn't work (which is why I removed it). Plus it's not the particularly consistent, fine for the old causal DRL, but not for a competitive one. Cavern Cross has the rock section at the beginning, which will have anyone from a heavy competitive background rage quitting. Not to mention the golf and soccer balls would have to be removed. Complexity has the cross over section, though you could either just make the older version race compatible, like you did Star. Though I made other changes so it might be better to take the new version and just remove the cross over section. People are probably also going to complain about that man cannon trap, so it either needs to better marked or just removed. Cargnarok also has the cross over section, unless you use the old version and covert it (again like you did Star). Again though I made other changes to it so again it might be better to just removed the cross over section and rearrange the man cannons in the water (or removed them) Cold Snap has the cross over and the fusion coil explosions. The old version would be easy enough to convert, but the fusion coils would have to be removed. Companion would probably be classed as a tight track, and the section through the caves has invisible walls that can get mongooses stuck. Crammed and Cynical are DLC maps, and I doubt there be a DLC tournament during a season. Corrosion SX is too inconsistent to be use in any tournament setting. Lost City and Comet City are both City tracks, so that's them out. Old versions of them exist that are more like standard tracks, but the jump in Comet City is a cross over and inconsistent as hell, and Lost city is kind of boring without being a proper city track. All my other tracks are either sky tracks/roller coasters or full blown collision courses, so they are completely out. So yeah, Concealed and Cortex only.
